Nature, adventure, culture and authentic log built hotels in the heart of the Laurentian Mountains. The Laurentian range marks the southern extremity of the great Canadian Shield. With national parks, wildlife reserves and mountain vistas, it’s a spectacular area to explore by snowmobile. Fantastic views will delight photographers, and the route takes you deep into the ancient lands of the Atikamekw nation to visit a fascinating site which shows how the 11 native nations in Québec have lived for more than 5000 years.

Day 1 - Montreal

Arrival in Montreal. Overnight at the Hotel Roberval (standard) or at the Gouverneur Place Dupuis (superior).

Day 2 - Trois-Rives - La Tuque (162 km)

After breakfast, we transfer you to the wild territories of the Mauricie region. After a two hour journey, much of which follows the scenic St. Maurice Valley, your tour guide will welcome you and help make preparations for your snowmobile adventure. After some training on handling the snowmobile and safety in the local environment you ride out into the wild reaches of the Upper Mauricie where the Canadian cliché of an endless forest with isolated lakes becomes a reality. Welcome to Atikamekw territory! Dinner and overnight at the Pourvoirie Odanak.

Day 3 - La Tuque - Saint-Raymond de Portneuf (209 km)

After Breakfast, the ride takes you South where the wild landscapes of the North give way to charming agricultural valleys. Visit the village of St. Tite, a real curiosity with its surprising western style and its annual Country Festival which attracts over 700,000 visitors from worldwide! The day ends in Portneuf region. Dinner and overnight at the Hôtel Roquemont.

Day 4 - Saint-Raymond de Portneuf - Saint-Mathieu-du-Parc

Your adventure continues through the snowy hills of the Mastigouche Wildlife Reserve. You’ll finally arrive in the village of Saint-Mathieu du Parc 175km later and in time for dinner and overnight at the traditional log built Auberge du Trappeur

Day 5 - Saint-Mathieu-du-Parc - Sainte-Émilie-de-l’Énergie

150km of great riding back towards the Lanaudière region today,your destination is the majestic Lake Taureau. This huge body of water becomes a fascinating white desert in winter and the immense wilderness of the Upper Matawinie area is a true paradise for snowmobilers! Dinner and overnight at the Pourvoirie du Domaine Bazinet

Day 6 - Sainte-Émilie-de-l’Énergie - Trois-Rives (178 km)

More great trails to ride and sights to see today but all good things must come to an end, you conclude your Snowmobiling adventure this afternoon when you’ll be called upon to raise your glass in honour of your exploits before we transfer you back to Montreal where you overnight at the tour hotel.

Day 7

Time to explore Montreal before you make your way to the airport or see the option below.

Option: Instead of returning to Montreal on day 6, you can opt for a transfer to Quebec City where you can spend 2 nights before taking the train back to Montreal on day 8. The package then becomes 8 days / 7 nights. Please ask us for more information and prices for this option or extending your stay.
