If you are looking for a winter adventure in the heart of Quebec’s wide open spaces but you also want to enjoy a high level of comfort, this is the snowmobile tour to choose. Staying in magnificent log built inns and prestigious properties offering a wide range of services, comfort, and great regional food and relaxing spas. You’ll also discover the Native Canadian culture while staying at the Hôtel-Musée Premières Nations in the Wendake Indian Reserve. To crown it all, you’ll visit the legendary Quebec Ice Hotel.

Day 1 - Montreal

Arrival in Montreal. Overnight at the or at the Gouverneur Place Dupuis.

Day 2 - Montreal / Trois-Rives - Saint-Michel-des-Saints (150 km)

After breakfast, we transfer you to the heart of the Mauricie region’s wild territories. After a two hour journey, much of which runs along the scenic St. Maurice Valley, your tour guide will welcome you and help make preparations for your snowmobiling adventure. After some training on handling the snowmobile and safety precautions in the local environment you begin your ride, setting off to the Lanaudière region and the majestic Lake Taureau, a huge body of water which becomes a fascinating white desert in winter. Then it’s into the immense wilderness of the Upper Matawinie area, a true paradise for snowmobilers looking for some adventure! Here, you’ll spend the night in a spectacular log lodge. Dinner and overnight at the Auberge du Lac Taureau.Spa

Day 3 - Saint-Michel-des-Saints - Saint-Alexis-des-Monts (121 km)

The adventure continues into the rugged territories of the Mastigouche Wildlife Reserve. Your destination is the famous Sacacomie Hotel is where you can experience the Geos Spa, a thermal concept which is unique in Canada. Dinner and overnight at the Sacacomie Hotel.

Day 4 - Saint-Alexis-des-Monts -Sainte-Catherine de la Jacques Cartier (268 km)

Head towards the Quebec region and the authentic rustic charm of the Duchesnay tourist village. Dinner and overnight at the Auberge Duchesnay.

Day 5 - Sainte-Catherine de la Jacques Cartier - Wendake

Today your snowmobile itinerary is shortened to an 89km ride because the day is packed with exciting visits. It all begins with a visit of the famous Ice Hotel. You will then continue on towards the Wendake Indian Reserve where a visit of the traditional Huron Site “ONHOÜA CHETEK8E” is included. The site allows you to learn about the beliefs and lifestyle of the Huron-Wendat nation, past and present. Guides will greet you with a friendly Kwe (hello friend!). Stroll along the trails as guides explain the customs of the Huron nation. The visit features interpretation, presentations, legends, traditional dancing and singing. End the day at the Hôtel-Musée des Premières Nations, a luxurious property which reflects the contemporary culture of the Huron-Wendat Nation. The hotel offers an elegant dining experience that celebrates the abundance of nature and a gastronomy inspired by the First Nations. Dinner and overnight at the Hôtel-Musée des Premières Nations.

Day 6 - Wendake - Trois Rives - Montreal or Quebec City (231 km)

You head back towards the Adventure Centre today, cruising along more nicely groomed trails before concluding your Snowmobiling adventure this afternoon. You’ll be called upon to raise your glass in honour of your exploits before we transfer you back to Montreal and an overnight stay at the tour hotel.

Day 7

Time to explore Montreal before you make your way to the airport.

Option: Instead of returning to Montreal on day 6, you can opt for a transfer to Quebec City where you can spend 2 nights before taking the train back to Montreal on day 8. The package then becomes 8 days / 7 nights. Please ask us for more information and prices for this option and extending your stay.
